Neale, who is known as "The Black Pearl" and "The Black Madonna of the Blues", easily navigates between her jazzy, rockin’ and rollin’, soulful Caribbean and North American heritages, while dipping into the ocean of classical music for further inspiration. Neale is a well-sought after performer and performs regularly with the crowd pleasing quartet: the Halton Jazz Singers quartet (https://haltonjazzsingers.com ). For her classical fans Siona still continues to perform classic and jazz recitals with Group Kompozytor (Margaret Lewinowicz (piano), Artur Lewinowicz (violin), and Viktori Lewinowicz (cello). Neale appeared with conductr Andrej Rozbicki and the Celebrity Syphony Orchestra in 2019. She appears on the bluesy/jazzy lullaby compilation albums (Sprzedawca Basni Kolysank) which Neale completed with Janusz Przehorek and Janusz Tylman. Those albums went gold in early 2011. Neale has contributed to several other well-received jazz and blues compilations under various radio stations from Argentina to Denmark. For a time, she even lent her soulful, jazz vocal stylings to the music stable of a Belgium label. Neale has performed at the Black Swan (Toronto), The Silver Dollar Room (Toronto) and The Blue Note (Poland).
Neale has independently released the blues-rock, soul album "A Blue Bite". "Let's Be Clear" held the top spot on several local jazz radio in Northern and Western Poland. A dual citizen of Canada and the E.U., Siona Neale performs with the cream of Poland's musical scene. This has included internationally acclaimed artists Nahorny, Cichonski, Stefankiewicz, Malina Kowalewski, Jankowski, Tylman, Janos, Radowicz, Bogdanowicz, Sawicki, Misiak, Barcik and Echoplex to name a few. She has performed in Europe, South America, the United States and Canada. In Ontario, Siona Neale, is recognized as a brilliant live soloist whose soulful jazz heats up events and festivals.
Siona Neale was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. She is the sister of the late Juno Award winning vocalist Haydain Neale, Jack Soul. She is the daughter of calypso gospel singer Winston Neale and Canadian-Caribbean poet Geneva Neale. Although she began singing and performing at a young age, Neale dedicated herself to singing at the age of 20, completing her Bachelor of Musical Arts at the University of Western Ontario where she studied classical voice with Elizabeth Neufeld and Daryl Edwards. Neale continued her vocal development at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, Ontario under Ginette Duplessi. She studied jazz with Iza Zajac in Warsaw, Poland.
